In a high-scoring and closely contested game on Saturday, May 24, 2025, Rwanda's APR Basketball Club narrowly lost to Libya's Al Ahli Tripoli with a final score of 106–102. The match took place at BK Arena in Kigali and was a pivotal encounter in the Basketball Africa League (BAL) Nile Conference.
APR welcomed back their star center, Aliou Diarra, who had missed the previous two games due to a hamstring injury. His return bolstered the team's performance, but it wasn't enough to secure a win against the undefeated Al Ahli Tripoli.
Despite the loss, APR remains in second place in the Nile Conference standings with a 2–3 record. Their final game in the conference is scheduled for Sunday, May 25, against Nairobi City Thunder.
