Oct 23, 2024The leader of the Kepler team, Munyampenda Natalie, explained why they chose to heavily invest in infrastructure. She discussed the benefits for both their players and students. She stated, "First, the infrastructure is for the students because we wanted them to have a good quality of life, and we realized we also have teams with regular players not just students."
She added, "Additionally, we have established facilities here, even though they weren't at a high standard, so we have upgraded them to provide players and students with a good place to play. For them to compete, they need to work in a good environment. In the coming years, we want to be a hub for many sports, as we aim to create a home for sports, which requires proper infrastructure."
She clarified that the funds allocated to infrastructure are not wasted, especially when they are located close to home.
She encouraged private investors to invest in sports, as the return on investment is quick, whether through advertising on apparel or other means.
She concluded, "Another aspect we will consider is how people can watch sports through technology and how we can monetize that effectively.
