Rwanda Knows Its Groups for the African Cup for boys and Girls

Rwanda national basketball teams, both boys and girls, have learned their groupings for the upcoming African U18 Championship, scheduled to take place in South Africa from September 2 to 14, 2024.

For the boys, Rwanda is in Group 3 alongside South Africa, Morocco, and Zambia. Group 2 includes Egypt, Angola, Uganda, and Nigeria, while Group 1 consists of Mali, Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, and Senegal.

For the girls, Rwanda is in Group 1 with South Africa, Tunisia, and Cameroon. Group 2 includes Mali, Morocco, Zambia, and Angola, while Group 3 comprises Egypt, Zimbabwe, Uganda, and Nigeria.

These teams have been preparing for a while, having secured their spots after finishing in second place in their respective categories in Uganda.

Specifically,  the national team of boys and girls had been reinforced with four players currently based in the United States and Canada: Rushema Jayden, Kayijuka Dlyan, Iranzi Christian, and Sean Mwesigwa.
