In the match for seventh place, the U-18 Girls Team defeated Morocco 65-52. The championship was won by Mali, who beat Nigeria 76-56.
Both teams that reached the final secured spots to represent Africa in the U-19 World Cup, set to take place in Switzerland in 2025.
Mali made history by winning the Africa Cup for the seventh time in the last ten tournaments.
The tournament's best team included Malian Oummou Koumare, who was named MVP, alongside her teammate Mama Sidiki Doumbia, Nigerian Idubamo Beggi, Cameroonian Damaris Emedie, and Ugandan Resty Nanangwe, who helped their team finish in third place.
The Rwandan U-18 Boys Team ended in eighth place after losing to Nigeria 78-61 in the match for seventh place.
In this category, the Malian National Team won the title, defeating Cameroon 60-51 in the final match, with both teams earning spots to represent Africa in the U-19 World Cup in Switzerland in 2025.
The tournament featured 12 teams in both categories. This marks the third time in the last four tournaments that Mali has won the Africa Cup, following their victories in 2018 and 2020 in Cairo, Egypt.
